Prior to version 2.4.13, there exists a potential header vulnerability in Traefik's handling of the Connection header. Active exploitation of this issue is unlikely, as it requires that a removed header would lead to a privilege escalation, however, the Traefik team has addressed this issue to prevent any potential abuse. If one has a chain of Traefik middlewares, and one of them sets a request header, then sending a request with a certain Connection header will cause it to be removed before the request is sent. In this case, the backend does not see the request header. A patch is available in version 2.4.13. There are no known workarounds aside from upgrading.","state":"PUBLIC","assigner":"security-advisories@github.com","published_at":"2021-08-03 23:15:00","updated_at":"2021-08-11 23:40:00"},"problem_types":["CWE-913"],"metrics":[],"references":[{"url":"https://github.com/traefik/traefik/releases/tag/v2.4.13","name":"https://github.com/traefik/traefik/releases/tag/v2.4.13","refsource":"MISC","tags":[],"title":"Release v2.4.13 · traefik/traefik · GitHub","mime":"text/html","httpstatus":"200","archivestatus":"200"},{"url":"https://github.com/traefik/traefik/security/advisories/GHSA-m697-4v8f-55qg","name":"https://github.com/traefik/traefik/security/advisories/GHSA-m697-4v8f-55qg","refsource":"CONFIRM","tags":[],"title":"Drop Headers via Malicious Connection Header · Advisory · traefik/traefik · GitHub","mime":"text/html","httpstatus":"200","archivestatus":"404"},{"url":"https://github.com/traefik/traefik/pull/8319/commits/cbaf86a93014a969b8accf39301932c17d0d73f9","name":"https://github.com/traefik/traefik/pull/8319/commits/cbaf86a93014a969b8accf39301932c17d0d73f9","refsource":"MISC","tags":[],"title":"Remove hop-by-hop headers defined in connection header before some middleware by ldez · Pull Request #8319 · traefik/traefik · GitHub","mime":"text/html","httpstatus":"200","archivestatus":"404"},{"url":"https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2021-32813","name":"CVE Program record","refsource":"CVE.ORG","tags":["canonical"]},{"url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2021-32813","name":"NVD vulnerability detail","refsource":"NVD","tags":["canonical","analysis"]}],"affected":[],"timeline":[],"solutions":[],"workarounds":[],"exploits":[],"credits":[],"nvd_cpes":[{"cve_year":"2021","cve_id":"32813","vulnerable":"1","versionEndIncluding":"","cpe1":"cpe","cpe2":"2.3","cpe3":"a","cpe4":"traefik","cpe5":"traefik","cpe6":"*","cpe7":"*","cpe8":"*","cpe9":"*","cpe10":"*","cpe11":"*","cpe12":"*","cpe13":"*"}],"vendor_comments":[],"enrichments":{"kev":null,"epss":null,"legacy_qids":[{"cve":"CVE-2021-32813","qid":"981386","title":"Go (go) Security Update for github.com/traefik/traefik (GHSA-m697-4v8f-55qg)"}]},"source_records":{"cve_program":{"CVE_data_meta":{"ASSIGNER":"security-advisories@github.com","ID":"CVE-2021-32813","STATE":"PUBLIC","TITLE":"Drop Headers via Malicious Connection Header "},"affects":{"vendor":{"vendor_data":[{"product":{"product_data":[{"product_name":"traefik","version":{"version_data":[{"version_value":"< 2.4.13"},{"version_value":"<= 1.7.30"}]}}]},"vendor_name":"traefik"}]}},"data_format":"MITRE","data_type":"CVE","data_version":"4.0","description":{"description_data":[{"lang":"eng","value":"Traefik is an HTTP reverse proxy and load balancer.
