In dataCycle-CORE, the module handling core processing and framework rules, before and including version 25.07.3, a low-privileged authenticated API user can supply `forwardToUrl` and `redirectUrl` values when triggering password reset or confirmation flows. Those values are then embedded into the outgoing email workflow without host allowlisting. This creates two related abuse paths:\n- password reset or confirmation links can be sent to a victim with the token already attached to an attacker-controlled `forwardToUrl`\n- after a legitimate password reset completes, the browser is redirected to attacker-controlled `redirectUrl`\n\nIn practice, this can be used for phishing, token capture, confirmation hijacking, or steering a victim from a trusted email\ninto an attacker domain. This is patched in version 26.06.08.","state":"PUBLISHED","assigner":"GitHub_M","published_at":"2026-07-20 17:17:06","updated_at":"2026-07-20 18:16:51"},"problem_types":["CWE-601","CWE-601 CWE-601: URL Redirection to Untrusted Site ('Open Redirect')"],"metrics":[{"version":"3.1","source":"security-advisories@github.com","type":"Secondary","score":"7.3","severity":"HIGH","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","data":{"version":"3.1","vectorString":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","baseScore":7.3,"baseSeverity":"HIGH","attackVector":"NETWORK","attackComplexity":"LOW","privilegesRequired":"LOW","userInteraction":"REQUIRED","scope":"UNCHANGED","confidentialityImpact":"HIGH","integrityImpact":"HIGH","availabilityImpact":"NONE"}},{"version":"3.1","source":"CNA","type":"DECLARED","score":"7.3","severity":"HIGH","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","data":{"attackComplexity":"LOW","attackVector":"NETWORK","availabilityImpact":"NONE","baseScore":7.3,"baseSeverity":"HIGH","confidentialityImpact":"HIGH","integrityImpact":"HIGH","privilegesRequired":"LOW","scope":"UNCHANGED","userInteraction":"REQUIRED","vectorString":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","version":"3.1"}}],"references":[{"url":"https://github.com/datacycle-engine/dataCycle-CORE/security/advisories/GHSA-8jfx-wpjg-hf38","name":"https://github.com/datacycle-engine/dataCycle-CORE/security/advisories/GHSA-8jfx-wpjg-hf38","refsource":"security-advisories@github.com","tags":[],"title":"","mime":"","httpstatus":"","archivestatus":"0"},{"url":"https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2026-32824","name":"CVE Program record","refsource":"CVE.ORG","tags":["canonical"]},{"url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-32824","name":"NVD vulnerability detail","refsource":"NVD","tags":["canonical","analysis"]}],"affected":[{"source":"CNA","vendor":"datacycle-engine","product":"dataCycle-CORE","version":"affected <= 25.07.3","platforms":[]}],"timeline":[],"solutions":[],"workarounds":[],"exploits":[],"credits":[],"nvd_cpes":[],"vendor_comments":[],"enrichments":{"kev":null,"epss":null,"legacy_qids":[]},"source_records":{"cve_program":{"containers":{"adp":[{"metrics":[{"other":{"content":{"id":"CVE-2026-32824","options":[{"Exploitation":"none"},{"Automatable":"no"},{"Technical Impact":"total"}],"role":"CISA Coordinator","timestamp":"2026-07-20T17:44:33.770632Z","version":"2.0.3"},"type":"ssvc"}}],"providerMetadata":{"dateUpdated":"2026-07-20T17:44:43.760Z","orgId":"134c704f-9b21-4f2e-91b3-4a467353bcc0","shortName":"CISA-ADP"},"title":"CISA ADP Vulnrichment"}],"cna":{"affected":[{"product":"dataCycle-CORE","vendor":"datacycle-engine","versions":[{"status":"affected","version":"<= 25.07.3"}]}],"descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"dataCycle is a data management system for centrally storing, managing, searching, finding, and distributing data.
