Before 0.56.0 on macOS, the runtime injected into a supported remote account webview such as Google Meet allows page JavaScript to call getDisplayMedia without a live user gesture. Instead of rejecting the request, the shim falls through to native Chromium capture behavior, and the embedded CEF environment can auto-select the primary display because it lacks the normal desktop-media picker. If OpenHuman already has macOS Screen Recording permission and an attacker obtains JavaScript execution in an allowed embedded origin, the attacker can obtain a real desktop capture stream without a new user gesture. The stream can expose chats, documents, source code, email, meeting content, credentials, one-time codes, and other visible desktop information. The separate direct screen_share_begin_session IPC path failing origin validation does not prevent exploitation through getDisplayMedia. This issue is fixed in version 0.56.0.","state":"PUBLISHED","assigner":"GitHub_M","published_at":"2026-11-05 17:18:19","updated_at":"2026-11-06 21:32:18"},"problem_types":["CWE-285","CWE-359","CWE-285 CWE-285: Improper Authorization","CWE-359 CWE-359: Exposure of Private Personal Information to an Unauthorized Actor"],"metrics":[{"version":"3.1","source":"security-advisories@github.com","type":"Secondary","score":"6.1","severity":"MEDIUM","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:N/A:N","data":{"version":"3.1","vectorString":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:N/A:N","baseScore":6.1,"baseSeverity":"MEDIUM","attackVector":"NETWORK","attackComplexity":"HIGH","privilegesRequired":"NONE","userInteraction":"REQUIRED","scope":"CHANGED","confidentialityImpact":"HIGH","integrityImpact":"NONE","availabilityImpact":"NONE"}},{"version":"3.1","source":"CNA","type":"DECLARED","score":"6.1","severity":"MEDIUM","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:N/A:N","data":{"attackComplexity":"HIGH","attackVector":"NETWORK","availabilityImpact":"NONE","baseScore":6.1,"baseSeverity":"MEDIUM","confidentialityImpact":"HIGH","integrityImpact":"NONE","privilegesRequired":"NONE","scope":"CHANGED","userInteraction":"REQUIRED","vectorString":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:N/A:N","version":"3.1"}}],"references":[{"url":"https://github.com/tinyhumansai/openhuman/pull/2636","name":"https://github.com/tinyhumansai/openhuman/pull/2636","refsource":"security-advisories@github.com","tags":[],"title":"","mime":"","httpstatus":"","archivestatus":"0"},{"url":"https://github.com/tinyhumansai/openhuman/releases/tag/v0.56.0","name":"https://github.com/tinyhumansai/openhuman/releases/tag/v0.56.0","refsource":"security-advisories@github.com","tags":[],"title":"","mime":"","httpstatus":"","archivestatus":"0"},{"url":"https://github.com/tinyhumansai/openhuman/security/advisories/GHSA-936r-hw6f-jjf2","name":"https://github.com/tinyhumansai/openhuman/security/advisories/GHSA-936r-hw6f-jjf2","refsource":"security-advisories@github.com","tags":[],"title":"","mime":"","httpstatus":"","archivestatus":"0"},{"url":"https://github.com/tinyhumansai/openhuman/commit/60050aa09a870f53ed7e4cd40ed41fd2860329e7","name":"https://github.com/tinyhumansai/openhuman/commit/60050aa09a870f53ed7e4cd40ed41fd2860329e7","refsource":"security-advisories@github.com","tags":[],"title":"","mime":"","httpstatus":"","archivestatus":"0"},{"url":"https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2026-54144","name":"CVE Program record","refsource":"CVE.ORG","tags":["canonical"]},{"url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-54144","name":"NVD vulnerability detail","refsource":"NVD","tags":["canonical","analysis"]}],"affected":[{"source":"CNA","vendor":"tinyhumansai","product":"openhuman","version":"affected < 0.56.0","platforms":[]}],"timeline":[],"solutions":[],"workarounds":[],"exploits":[],"credits":[],"nvd_cpes":[],"vendor_comments":[],"enrichments":{"kev":null,"epss":{"cve_year":"2026","cve_id":"54144","cve":"CVE-2026-54144","epss":"0.004950000","percentile":"0.426460000","score_date":"2026-11-06","updated_at":"2026-11-07 00:05:35"},"legacy_qids":[]},"source_records":{"cve_program":{"containers":{"adp":[{"metrics":[{"other":{"content":{"id":"CVE-2026-54144","options":[{"Exploitation":"none"},{"Automatable":"no"},{"Technical Impact":"partial"}],"role":"CISA Coordinator","timestamp":"2026-11-05T20:58:07.169133Z","version":"2.0.3"},"type":"ssvc"}}],"providerMetadata":{"dateUpdated":"2026-11-05T20:58:14.948Z","orgId":"134c704f-9b21-4f2e-91b3-4a467353bcc0","shortName":"CISA-ADP"},"title":"CISA ADP Vulnrichment"}],"cna":{"affected":[{"product":"openhuman","vendor":"tinyhumansai","versions":[{"status":"affected","version":"< 0.56.0"}]}],"descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"OpenHuman is an open-source agent harness available as a desktop application and Rust library.
