In versions 2.1.0 and prior, a returning client's six-digit booking PIN can be brute-forced online in the victim tenant. A successful guess yields the client's booking access token, granting access to that client's appointment tunnel, which holds their end-to-end-encrypted appointment data, and the ability to act as the client, for example adding or cancelling appointments in the tunnel. The bypass is cross-tenant: state owned by one tenant removes an authentication protection of a different tenant. This crossing of the tenant boundary is the basis for the scope-changed vector. At time of publication, there are no publicly available patches.","state":"PUBLISHED","assigner":"GitHub_M","published_at":"2026-10-23 21:17:24","updated_at":"2026-10-26 18:17:50"},"problem_types":["CWE-307","CWE-307 CWE-307: Improper Restriction of Excessive Authentication Attempts"],"metrics":[{"version":"3.1","source":"security-advisories@github.com","type":"Secondary","score":"7.5","severity":"HIGH","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:L/A:N","data":{"version":"3.1","vectorString":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:L/A:N","baseScore":7.5,"baseSeverity":"HIGH","attackVector":"NETWORK","attackComplexity":"HIGH","privilegesRequired":"NONE","userInteraction":"NONE","scope":"CHANGED","confidentialityImpact":"HIGH","integrityImpact":"LOW","availabilityImpact":"NONE"}},{"version":"3.1","source":"CNA","type":"DECLARED","score":"7.5","severity":"HIGH","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:L/A:N","data":{"attackComplexity":"HIGH","attackVector":"NETWORK","availabilityImpact":"NONE","baseScore":7.5,"baseSeverity":"HIGH","confidentialityImpact":"HIGH","integrityImpact":"LOW","privilegesRequired":"NONE","scope":"CHANGED","userInteraction":"NONE","vectorString":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:L/A:N","version":"3.1"}}],"references":[{"url":"https://github.com/open-reception/appointment-booking-software/security/advisories/GHSA-v4q4-xmqf-gmq8","name":"https://github.com/open-reception/appointment-booking-software/security/advisories/GHSA-v4q4-xmqf-gmq8","refsource":"security-advisories@github.com","tags":[],"title":"","mime":"","httpstatus":"","archivestatus":"0"},{"url":"https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2026-65825","name":"CVE Program record","refsource":"CVE.ORG","tags":["canonical"]},{"url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-65825","name":"NVD vulnerability detail","refsource":"NVD","tags":["canonical","analysis"]}],"affected":[{"source":"CNA","vendor":"open-reception","product":"appointment-booking-software","version":"affected <= 2.1.0","platforms":[]}],"timeline":[],"solutions":[],"workarounds":[],"exploits":[],"credits":[],"nvd_cpes":[],"vendor_comments":[],"enrichments":{"kev":null,"epss":null,"legacy_qids":[]},"source_records":{"cve_program":{"containers":{"adp":[{"metrics":[{"other":{"content":{"id":"CVE-2026-65825","options":[{"Exploitation":"none"},{"Automatable":"no"},{"Technical Impact":"partial"}],"role":"CISA Coordinator","timestamp":"2026-10-26T15:39:10.074928Z","version":"2.0.3"},"type":"ssvc"}}],"providerMetadata":{"dateUpdated":"2026-10-26T17:45:38.981Z","orgId":"134c704f-9b21-4f2e-91b3-4a467353bcc0","shortName":"CISA-ADP"},"title":"CISA ADP Vulnrichment"}],"cna":{"affected":[{"product":"appointment-booking-software","vendor":"open-reception","versions":[{"status":"affected","version":"<= 2.1.0"}]}],"descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"OpenReception's appointment booking software provides an end-to-end encrypted appointment booking platform.
