Libextractor 'png_extractor.c' Heap Buffer Overflow Vulnerability

Libextractor is prone to a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability.

Attackers can exploit this issue to crash the affected application, resulting in a denial-of-service condition. Due to the nature of this issue, code execution may be possible but this has not been confirmed.

Libextractor 1.4 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
