Apache Ranger CVE-2018-11778 Stack Buffer Overflow Vulnerability

Apache Ranger is prone to a stack-based buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to adequately bounds-check user-supplied data before copying it to an insufficiently sized memory buffer.

Successful exploits may allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the user running the affected application or result in denial-of-service conditions.

Versions prior to Ranger 1.2.0 are vulnerable.
