Microsoft Windows Large Image Processing Remote Denial Of Service Vulnerability

Microsoft Windows is reported prone to a denial of service vulnerability. The issue is alleged to manifest when a standard JPEG or GIF image that is loaded from a HTML IMG tag, is resized using very large dimensions.

Initially it was reported that this issue existed in certain VGA display drivers, however, further reports indicate that the issue affects Microsoft Windows 2000, and XP platforms.

Details regarding this vulnerability are not entirely known, reproduction of the issue was partial in nature, this BID will be updated as further analysis of this vulnerability is completed.
