Discussion

Dokeos Course Description Multiple Remote HTML Injection Vulnerabilities

Multiple remote HTML injection vulnerabilities reportedly affect the course description functionality of Dokeos. These issues are due to a failure of the application to properly sanitize user-supplied form input prior to including it in dynamically generated Web content.

It should be noted that for an attacker to leverage this issue they must have privileges sufficient to add a course.

An attacker may leverage these issues to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user; this may facilitate theft of cookie-based authentication credentials as well as other attacks.
