Sun Solaris automountd Local Denial Of Service Vulnerability

Sun Solaris automountd is prone to a denial of service vulnerability. This condition may be exploited by local attackers to kill the automountd service, denying availability of autofs file systems to legitimate users and applications.

Avaya Interactive Response is vulnerable to this issue as well.

Solution:
Sun has released patches to address this vulnerability.

Avaya has released advisory ASA-2005-116 identifying vulnerable Avaya Interactive Response (IR) packages. Patches will be released in the near future. Please the referenced advisory for more information.
