An unspecified buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the Sun Solaris libmle library that is included in Sun Solaris 7, and 8 releases. Very little information is available on this vulnerability.

Sun describes this issue as: "4468138 BCP libmle buffer overflow"

This vulnerability allows attackers to execute arbitrary machine code in the context of applications that utilize the library.

This issue may present a security issue if a program that employs the vulnerable library is installed setuid/setgid or if the vulnerability is related to processing of untrusted input.
