MediaWiki Page Move Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

MediaWiki is prone to cross-site scripting attacks. This issue is due to a failure of proper sanitization of input variables by the application.

An attacker may leverage this issue to have arbitrary script code executed in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may facilitate the theft of cookie-based authentication credentials as well as other attacks.

The vendor has released an upgrade. All versions up to and including 1.4.5 should be upgraded.
