Virtools Web Player Directory Traversal Vulnerability

Virtools Web Player is prone to a directory traversal vulnerability. This issue is due to a failure in the application to properly sanitize user-supplied input.

Exploitation of this vulnerability could permit an attacker to overwrite arbitrary files in the security context of the vulnerable application.

Reports indicate the vendor has addressed this issue in version 1.0.0.101; this has not been confirmed by Symantec.
