Edgewall Software Trac Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability


Trac is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability.

An attacker may leverage this issue to have arbitrary script code executed in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may facilitate the theft of cookie-based authentication credentials as well as other attacks.


Trac 0.9.2 and prior versions are vulnerable.

The vendor has released Trac 0.9.3 to address this issue.

Gentoo has released advisory GLSA 200601-12 to address this issue. Please see the referenced advisory for more information. Gentoo users may carry out the following commands to update their computers:
