Mozilla Firefox/SeaMonkey/Thunderbird Multiple Remote Vulnerabilities

The Mozilla Foundation has released nine security advisories specifying vulnerabilities in Firefox, SeaMonkey, and Thunderbird.

These vulnerabilities allow attackers to:

- execute arbitrary code
- perform cross-site scripting attacks
- inject arbitrary content
- gain escalated privileges
- crash affected applications and potentially execute arbitrary code.

Other attacks may also be possible.

Mozilla Firefox/SeaMonkey/Thunderbird Multiple Remote Vulnerabilities

Some of the vulnerabilities described in this BID do not require exploits.

Proof-of-concept exploits are available in the Mozilla Bugzilla database, but are not currently available to the general public.

UPDATE: Core Security Technologies has developed a working commercial exploit for its CORE IMPACT product. This exploit is not otherwise publicly available or known to be circulating in the wild.

Solution:
Mozilla has released Firefox 1.5.0.9 and 2.0.0.1, Thunderbird 1.5.0.9, and SeaMonkey 1.0.7 to address these issues.
