Discussion

AMX Mod X Multiple Off-by-One Buffer Overflow Vulnerabilities

AMX Mod X is prone to multiple off-by-one buffer-overflow vulnerabilities because it fails to adequately bounds-check user-supplied input before copying it to insufficiently sized memory buffers.

Successfully exploiting these issues may allow attackers to execute arbitrary machine code in the context of the application running the affected plugin. Failed exploit attempts will crash applications, denying service to legitimate users.

These issues affect AMX Mod X 1.76d; other versions may also be affected.
