ProjectPier Multiple HTML Injection and Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerabilities

ProjectPier is prone to multiple HTML-injection and cross-site scripting vulnerabilities because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input.

An attacker may leverage these issues to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may allow the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and to launch other attacks.

ProjectPier 0.8.0 is vulnerable; prior versions may also be affected.

Attackers can exploit these issues through a browser. To exploit the cross-site scripting issue, attackers must entice an unsuspecting user to follow a malicious URI.
