Discussion

DevIL 'RGBE' File Parsing Multiple Buffer Overflow Vulnerabilities

DevIL is prone to multiple buffer-overflow vulnerabilities because the library fails to perform adequate boundary checks on user-supplied input.

Attackers may leverage these issues to execute arbitrary code in the context of an application using the library. Failed attacks will cause denial-of-service conditions.

DevIL 1.7.4 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
