Discussion

Drupal Shibboleth Authentication Module Authentication Bypass Vulnerability

The Shibboleth authentication module for Drupal is prone to an authentication-bypass vulnerability because it fails to properly handle changes in an underlying Shibboleth session.

An attacker can exploit this issue to impersonate other users or gain elevated privileges on a website protected with the Shibboleth authentication module. This may lead to further attacks.

Versions prior to Shibboleth authentication 6.x-3.2 and 5.x-3.4 are vulnerable.
