Discussion

Drupal Simplenews Statistics Module Multiple Vulnerabilities

The Simplenews Statistics module for Drupal is prone to multiple vulnerabilities because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied data.

An attacker may leverage these issues to perform unauthorized actions, modify user profile settings, perform phishing attacks, and execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may allow the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials. Other attacks are also possible.

These issues affect versions prior to Simplenews Statistics 6.x-2.0.
