Discussion

WP Contact Form WordPress Plugin Security Bypass and Multiple HTML Injection Vulnerabilities

The WP Contact Form plugin is prone to a security-bypass vulnerability and multiple HTML-injection vulnerabilities because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input.

Attacker-supplied HTML and script code would execute in the context of the affected site, potentially allowing the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials or to control how the site is rendered to the user; other attacks are also possible.

WP Contact Form 2.0.7 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
