Discussion

Winamp and libmikmod Module Decoder Plugin Multiple Buffer Overflow Vulnerabilities

Winamp and libmikmod are prone to multiple buffer-overflow vulnerabilities because they fail to perform adequate boundary checks on user-supplied input.

Attackers may leverage these issues to execute arbitrary code in the context of the application. Failed attacks will cause denial-of-service conditions.

The following are vulnerable:

Versions prior to Winamp 5.57
Versions prior to libmikmod 3.1.12
