PyXML Unspecified Remote Buffer Overflow Vulnerability

PyXML is prone to a buffer-overflow vulnerability because the library fails to perform adequate boundary checks on user-supplied data.

Currently very few technical details are available. We will update this BID as more information emerges.

Attackers can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code within the context of an application that uses the affected library. Failed exploit attempts will result in a denial-of-service condition.

PyXML 0.8.4 is affected; other versions may also be vulnerable.
