Discussion

aria2 'AbstractCommand::onAbort' Format String Vulnerability

The 'aria2' program is prone to a format-string vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied data.

Exploiting this issue will allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the application, corrupt memory, or cause denial-of-service conditions.

NOTE: For an exploit to succeed, logging must be enabled.

Versions prior to aria2 1.6.2 are vulnerable.
