Discussion

Embarcadero Technologies InterBase SMP 2009 Multiple Stack Buffer Overflow Vulnerabilities

Embarcadero Technologies InterBase SMP 2009 is prone to multiple stack-based buffer-overflow vulnerabilities because it fails to perform adequate boundary checks on user-supplied data.

Attackers can exploit these issues to execute arbitrary code in the context of the affected application. Failed exploit attempts will likely cause denial-of-service conditions.

InterBase SMP 2009 9.0.3.437 for Microsoft Windows is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
