Microsoft Windows is prone to a remote denial-of-service vulnerability that affects the Microsoft Server Message Block (SMB) protocol software.

An attacker can exploit this issue to crash the application, denying service to legitimate users.

This vulnerability affects SMB1 and SMB2.
