Discussion

Google Chrome prior to 4.0.249.89 Multiple Security Vulnerabilities

Google Chrome is prone to multiple vulnerabilities:

- multiple remote code-execution issues
- multiple information-disclosure issues
- a code-execution issue
- a cross-origin information-disclosure issue

Attackers can exploit these issues to obtain sensitive information, execute arbitrary code in the context of the browser, and carry out other attacks.

Versions prior to Chrome 4.0.249.89 are vulnerable.

Exploit / POC

Google Chrome prior to 4.0.249.89 Multiple Security Vulnerabilities

Attackers may exploit the information-disclosure issue by injecting references to a malicious server into content hosted by a legitimate webpage, and then enticing an unsuspecting user into viewing the legitimate site and transmitting stored credentials.

Attackers may use standard tools to exploit some of the issues; other issues may require exploit code. We are not aware of any exploits for the remaining issues.
