Discussion

RETIRED: IBM Lotus Notes Unspecified Remote Buffer Overflow Vulnerability

IBM Lotus Notes is prone to a buffer-overflow vulnerability because the application fails to adequately perform boundary checks on user-supplied data.

Successful exploits could allow attackers to execute arbitrary code in the context of the user running the application. Failed exploit attempts will result in a denial-of-service condition.

Note: This BID is being retired; the issue can not be exploited as described.
