Discussion

Cisco SN 5420 Storage Router Large Header DoS Vulnerability

Cisco SN 5420 Storage Routers running software releases up to and including 1.1(5) are prone to remote denial of service attacks.

It is possible to crash a vulnerable storage router by sending a HTTP request with an oversized header.

The router must be restarted to regain normal functionality.

Cisco has identified this issue as bug number CSCdu32533.
