Softbiz Recipes Portal and Link Directory Script 'showcats.php' SQL Injection Vulnerability

Softbiz Recipes Portal and Link Directory Script are prone to an SQL-injection vulnerability because they fail to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied data before using it in an SQL query.

Exploiting this issue could allow an attacker to compromise these applications, access or modify data, or exploit latent vulnerabilities in the underlying database.

NOTE: This vulnerability may be related to one of the issues discussed in BID 15585 (Softbiz Resource Repository Script SQL Injection Vulnerabilities).
