Discussion

BarnOwl 'owl_message_get_cc_without_recipient()' Heap Buffer Overflow Vulnerability

BarnOwl is prone to a heap-based buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to perform adequate boundary checks on user-supplied data.

Successfully exploiting these issues will allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code within the context of the affected application. Failed exploit attempts will likely crash the application.

Versions prior to BarnOwl 1.5.1 are vulnerable.
