Solution:
Users are advised to uprgrade to a version of the Linux kernel that is not affected by this vulnerability.

Red Hat has released fixes which address this issue.

Mandrake has released kernel upgrades that include fixes which address this issue. MandrakeUpdate should not be used to apply these kernel upgrades, see the attached advisory for further details.
