HLstatsX CE 'hlstats.php' Cross Site Scripting Vulnerability

HLstatsX CE is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because the application fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input.

An attacker may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This can allow the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks.

HLstatsX CE 1.6.5 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.

Attackers can exploit this issue by enticing an unsuspecting victim into following a malicious URI.
