The Linux kernel is prone to a security-bypass vulnerability that affects Access Control Lists (ACLs) on the GFS2 filesystem.

Local attackers can exploit this issue to bypass certain security restrictions and perform unauthorized actions. Successful exploits can result in the complete compromise of a vulnerable computer.

This issue has been patched in the Linux kernel 2.6.33 branch, but remains unpatched in kernel 2.6.32.
