Compaq OpenVMS ACMS Process Privilege Vulnerability

OpenVMS is a mainframe-like Operating System originally developed by Digital. It is maintained and distributed by Compaq.

A problem with the ACMS software used by OpenVMS could have security implications.

ACMS is a transaction process monitoring software package. It is designed for use on the OpenVMS system. ACMS insecurely handles some process privileges. This problem could lead to unauthorized access to data. It should be noted that this problem does not affect the security of the OpenVMS operating system.
