SigPlus Pro ActiveX 'LCDWriteString()' Remote Buffer Overflow Vulnerability

SigPlus Pro ActiveX is prone to a buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to sufficiently bounds-check user-supplied input.

An attacker may exploit this issue by enticing victims into opening a malicious webpage.

Successful exploits will allow attackers to execute arbitrary code within the context of the affected application (typically Internet Explorer) that uses the ActiveX control. Failed exploit attempts will result in a denial-of-service condition.

SigPlus Pro ActiveX version 3.74 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
