Discussion
Squid 'DNS' Reply Remote Denial of Service Vulnerability
Squid is prone to a remote denial-of-service vulnerability.
An attacker can exploit this issue to cause a denial-of-service condition.
Squid 3.1.6 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
Update (October 14, 2010): This issue was originally documented as a buffer overflow. It was determined that the issue was instead a denial-of-service vulnerability stemming from an assertion failure; impact has been adjusted accordingly.
