Discussion

GNU Mailman Multiple Cross Site Scripting Vulnerabilities

GNU Mailman is prone to multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input.

An attacker may leverage these issues to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may let the attacker steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks.

NOTE: To exploit these issues, an attacker must have 'remote mailing list owner' privileges.

GNU Mailman 2.1.13 (prior to September 9th, 2010) is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.

Exploit / POC

GNU Mailman Multiple Cross Site Scripting Vulnerabilities
