mathTeX Multiple Security Vulnerabilities
mathTeX is prone to multiple security vulnerabilities. These vulnerabilities include an arbitrary command-execution vulnerability, an insecure temporary file-creation vulnerability, and multiple stack-based buffer-overflow vulnerabilities.
Attackers may leverage these issues to execute arbitrary commands within the context of the vulnerable system, perform symbolic-link attacks, overwriting arbitrary files in the context of the user running the affected application, or execute arbitrary code in the context of the application. Failed exploit attempts may result in a denial-of-service condition.
