Retired: Wireshark ASN.1 BER Dissector Denial of Service Vulnerability

Wireshark is prone to a denial-of-service vulnerability.

Exploiting this issue may allow attackers to cause the application to crash.

Wireshark versions prior to and including 1.2.11 and 1.4.0 are vulnerable.

NOTE: This vulnerability is the same issue described in BID 43197 (Wireshark Malformed SNMP V1 Packet Remote Denial of Service Vulnerability); therefore this BID is being retired.

Exploit / POC
