FreeBSD Kernel 'pseudofs' Local Memory Overwrite Vulnerability

The FreeBSD Kernel is prone to a local security vulnerability that may allow attackers to overwrite arbitrary portions of memory.

Successful exploits may allow attackers to corrupt memory, gain elevated privileges, or cause a denial-of-service condition. Other attacks are also possible.

FreeBSD versions 7.x prior to 7.3-RELEASE and 8.x prior to 8.0-RC1 are vulnerable.
