Discussion

Xen 'blkback/blktap/netback' Leaked Kernel Thread Local Denial Of Service Vulnerability

Xen is prone to a denial-of-service vulnerability because it fails to properly remove a guest's references to the host device.

An attacker with access to a guest operating system can exploit this issue to leak kernel threads, preventing a future teardown. The guest will remain in a zombie state, causing the host to fully or partially stop responding.
