Discussion
RETIRED: PHP-Nuke 'modules.php' Cross Site Scripting Vulnerability
PHP-Nuke is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input before using it in dynamically generated content.
An attacker may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may allow the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and to launch other attacks.
PHP-Nuke versions 8.1 and prior are vulnerable.
This BID is being retired. The issue is already discussed in BID 25171 (PHP-Nuke Search Module Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability).
