PIPI Player 'PIPIWebPlayer.ocx' ActiveX Multiple Buffer Overflow Vulnerabilities
The PIPI Player 'PIPIWebPlayer.ocx' ActiveX control is prone to multiple stack-based buffer-overflow vulnerabilities because the application fails to perform adequate boundary checks on user-supplied data.
Successfully exploiting these issues allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code in the context of the application (typically Internet Explorer) using the ActiveX control. Failed exploit attempts will likely result in denial-of-service conditions.
PIPI Player 2.8.0.0 is affected; other versions may also be vulnerable.
