Discussion

KDE kdelibs IP Address SSL Certificate Security Bypass Vulnerability

kdelibs is prone to a security-bypass vulnerability because the library fails to properly validate certificate hostnames.

Successfully exploiting this issue allows attackers to perform man-in-the-middle attacks or impersonate trusted servers, which will aid in further attacks.

Versions prior to kdelibs 4.6.1 are vulnerable.
