Python 'urllib' and 'urllib2' modules are prone to an information-disclosure vulnerability and a denial-of-service vulnerability.

Successfully exploiting these issues may allow an attacker to obtain sensitive information or to consume excessive CPU and memory resources, resulting in a denial of service.

Python 2.4.6 and 2.6.5 are vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
