FFmpeg libavcodec 'sp5xdec.c' '.amv' File Memory Corruption Vulnerability

FFmpeg is prone to a memory-corruption vulnerability because it fails to properly validate user-supplied data.

Attackers can leverage this issue to execute arbitrary code in the context of the application. Failed attacks will cause denial-of-service conditions.

Versions prior to FFmpeg 0.6.3 and 0.7-rc1 are vulnerable.
