Discussion

appRain Multiple HTML-injection Vulnerabilities

appRain is prone to multiple HTML-injection vulnerabilities because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input before displaying it in dynamically generated content.

Note: To exploit these issues, an attacker must have valid authentication credentials.

An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting victim in the context of the affected site. This may allow the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and to launch other attacks.

The following versions are vulnerable:

appRain 0.1.4-Alpha
appRain-q-0.1.3 and prior
appRain-d-0.1.3 and prior
