Discussion
GreenBrowser Cross Site Scripting and HTML Injection Vulnerabilities
GreenBrowser is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability and an HTML-injection vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input.
An attacker could leverage the cross-site scripting issue to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected page. This may let the attacker steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks.
Attacker-supplied HTML and script code would run in the context of the affected browser, potentially allowing the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials or control how the page is rendered to the user. Other attacks are also possible.
