WebKit WebSockets CVE-2012-3696 HTTP Header Injection Vulnerability
WebKit is prone to a vulnerability that allows attackers to inject arbitrary HTTP headers.
By inserting arbitrary headers into an HTTP request, attackers may be able to launch cross-site request-forgery, cross-site scripting, HTTP-request-smuggling, HTTP-request-splitting, and other attacks.
Note: This issue was previously discussed in BID 54669 (Apple Safari Prior to 6.0 Multiple Security Vulnerabilities), but has been given its own record to better document it.
