Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition CVE-2012-1686 Cross Site Scripting Vulnerability
Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input.
An attacker may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may allow the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks.
Note: This issue was previously titled 'Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition CVE-2012-1686 Remote Security Vulnerability'. The title and technical details have been changed to better reflect the underlying component affected.
